Since it started in 1982, the Historic Morganton Festival has grown to include eight city blocks in downtown Morganton, more than a mile of crafts and vendors, live music from nationally-known artists, plenty of food and tons of fun for the entire family. The Historic Morganton Festival an opportunity for Morganton and Burke County to invite thousands of visitors to come play in our streets, shop and have a great time! The festival is held the weekend after Labor Day and is recognized as one of the finest two-day festivals in the region.

The 27th Annual
Historic Morganton Festival
was held Friday and Saturday, September 5 & 6, 2008.

The festival featured more than a mile of crafts, food, games, rides and free concerts by headliners SonicFlood and Craig Morgan.
