Friday, December 15th 4-7pm
You're invited to Seussify Morganton: A Shop Late Event on Friday, December 15th from 4:00-7:00pm in downtown Morganton.
Christmas is right around the corner and the Morganton Downtown Development Association wants to make sure you have just the right thing to make this holiday season one of the most memorable yet. Downtown Morganton’s theme for the 2017 holiday season is Dr. Seuss. So get in the spirit and join us on December 15th as we #SeussifyMorganton.
Businesses will stay open later on December 15th during Seussify Morganton, which will give you the opportunity to check all the items off of your shopping list. And if you aren't the best gift wrapper, we have you covered. During the event hours of 4-7pm a gift wrapping station will be offered to anyone that needs a present wrapped! While you are in downtown during Seussify Morganton you will notice the sidewalks feature tunes from musicians and carolers along with special goodies and snacks for the entire family. Cotton candy, yogurt, hot chocolate, apple slices, apple cider, popcorn and more awaits you!! While you shop and snack around town you'll even hear the hooves of horse-drawn carriages as families and friends enjoy the evening on holiday carriage rides. Both Santa Claus and the Grinch will be in town greeting shoppers and stopping to take a photo or two. Be sure to post your photos to social media with the hashtag #SeussifyMorganton as December 15th is your last chance to enter into the Downtown Bucks Holiday Giveaway.
Whether you come to shop, eat, or just hang out, we invite everyone to come downtown to Seussify Morganton on Friday, December 15th. Stay tuned for more information on event details, giveaways and contests!
In addition to the shopping fun you're sure to have, kids can enter into a Coloring Contest at Sketch Art Space (located at 114 North Sterling Street). Elementary and Middle School aged kids should complete the coloring sheet below and turn it into Sketch by December 15th for a chance to win a free bicycle! Call 828-438-5252 for more information.
